This IoT project at Thomas More involved creating a smart beer fridge that scans IDs, checks the user's age, and displays relevant information. Despite the challenge of two team members leaving, I collaborated with my best friends Robert and Alex to deliver an innovative solution. Our teacher recognized it as the best project in the class due to its functionality and creativity.
I led the integration of IoT components, programming the ID scanner and age verification logic using Python. I also worked on the user interface with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to display information clearly. My contributions included troubleshooting hardware issues and ensuring seamless communication between the fridge's sensors and the software.
This project deepened my understanding of IoT integrations and hardware-software interactions. Overcoming the challenge of a reduced team size taught me resilience and the importance of strong collaboration with trusted teammates. The recognition from our teacher boosted my confidence in delivering high-quality, innovative solutions.
